Dracaena sanderiana is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae, native to Central Africa. It was named after the German & English gardener Henry Frederick Conrad Sander. The plant is commonly nicknamed 'Lucky bamboo' as the stems resemble bamboo. It is a quick growing, low maintenance plant that will grow tall. The stems have been braided which adds a unique twist.

Available in Yellow or White variegation.

LOVES- Bright, indirect light (but will also do well in lower light conditions.

HATES- Direct sunlight (this will burn the leaves), too much water (wait until the the top half of the soil is dry before watering.

Toxicity Rating- Toxic to cats & dogs (although symptoms are not usually severe)

    Quick Care Guide

    Care Difficulty: Super easy to care for.

    Light requirements: Bright sunny spot with no direct sunlight. Can tolerate a little shade.

    Watering: Water thoroughly but allow this plants soil to dry out half way between waterings. Reduce watering in winter but don't allow soil to fully dry out.

    Humidity: Does well in average household conditions but will appreciate a little more humidity. Mist regularly.

    Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets

    Feeding: Enjoys being fed during Spring- Summer growth period once or twice a month. Always follow the instructions on your feed of choice.

    Repotting: Repot around once every 2 years -check to see if the roots are coming out the bottom. Use appropriate soil for this type of plant.

    UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

    • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
    • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

    These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

    Refunds & returns

    Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

    Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

    Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
