Platycerium bifurcatum 'Stag's horn fern'

Platycerium bifurcatum 'Stag's horn fern'

This unusual plant grows naturally on tree trunks high up in the Australian jungle. It is Epiphyte, taking its nutrients and water directly from the trunks of other trees. This fern has wonderful stag horn shaped fronds that emerge from clasping basal fronds at the base that are initially light green but turn brown as they mature.

LOVES- Water once a week and keep the fronds misted regularly to promote the humidity they love. Keep in good indirect sunlight.

HATES- Do not remove the surface wax that covers each leaf. Ensure the compost is moist at all times (but not soggy)
