A stunning hybrid cultivar Aglaonema commutatum ‘Silver Queen’ is a cross between Aglaonema commutatum and Aglaonema nitidum. Native to the Philippines and Sulawesi, the plant has now been to many other tropical countries but also thrives as a houseplant, so much so that it has been awarded the Award of Garden merit as a houseplant by the RHS. The lanceolate leaves are a mid-green with silver patches with an almost ‘marbled’ effect.
