The Alocasia wentii is a wonderful large leaved Alocasia, a hybrid of Alocasia Ordora and Alocasia Gageana. The broad arrow shaped leaves are a glossy dark green, with a deep purple underside, a stunning feature that makes it a particularly desired houseplant which also explains its other common name, Purple Umbrella. Native to the rainforests of New Guinea.

RATING- Moderate

LOVES- Bright indirect light, high humidity, well-draining damp soil. Prefers to be slightly rootbound.

HATES- Dry soil, but also very prone to root rot, so ensure you don’t overwater either!
