One for foliage fans, the Goeppertia fasciata is a darker leaved plant from the Marantaceae family. Dark green stripes cover the paler green, while the underside of the foliage has a burgundy tinge. Native to North-East Brazil, this plant lives in the tropical rainforest, but is still relatively easy to care for in the home.
