Goeppertia louisae ‘Maui Queen’ syn. Calathea louisae ‘Maui Queen’

Boasting beautiful patterned leaves, with lime green highlights spreading from the centre of the leaf, this Calathea makes a wonderful houseplant. Recent reclassification means that although this plant is known as a Calathea, it’s actual genus is Goeppertia! As it is a member of the prayer plant family, during the day the leaves lower and then rise at night, an adaptation that helps the plant absorb and reflect light. 

RATING- Moderate

LOVES- A bright but sunless spot, watering once a week and frequent misting

HATES- Overwatering. Direct sun will fade the leaves and cause them to burn. Extreme temperature changes.
