LOVES: Zamioculcas Zamiifolia plants enjoy medium to low light levels (perfect for that awkward spot!) and watering every 2-3 weeks - please ensure the soil dries out in-between.

HATES: ZZ Plants do not like humidity so there’s no need to mist!

  • Latin name Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, more commonly as the ‘ZZ plant’ is loved for its air-purifying qualities and its dark green glossy leaves. This plant is part of the Araceae family which is a group of flowering plants so this plant is able to produce small flowers which vary in colour from yellow to bronze. Native to Eastern Africa, this plant is very low maintenance, being able to tolerate lower levels of light and fewer waterings making it the perfect houseplant for anyone.

  • Care difficulty: this is a very easy, low-maintenance plant that isn’t difficult to look after

    Light requirements: bright, indirect sunlight to avoid scorching the leaves

    Watering: weekly allowing the soil to completely dry out between waterings

    Hardiness: this plant is hardy however can't tolerate extremely low temperatures so avoid placing it in a spot near cold drafts

    Sizing: currently 17cm pot diameter however this plant can reach heights of 3-4 feet tall

    Humidity: this plant can handle average house humidity however additional humidity is not needed since this plant thrives in dryer air

    Toxicity: this plant is very poisonous to animals

    Feeding: feed with a liquid feed once a month during the spring/summer seasons

    Refunds & returns

    Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days via email or by phone.

    Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

    Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage.

    Please note: Refunds or exchanges can not be made on ‘Sale’ items.
