Begonia masoniana 'Iron cross begonia'
Begonia ‘Iron cross begonia’ is an extremely popular houseplant and for good reason. The stunning lime green foliage has a rough, dimpled texture with striking dark brown/purple patterns in the centre of the leaf and around each edge. Flowers with white-pink flowers that erupt on tall stems.
Rating- Moderate
Loves- A partially shady spot is best. A few hours of afternoon sunshine are beneficial in winter, keep soil moist but allow it to dry out in between. Turn the pot every now & again. Needs high humidity especially during the growing season Spring-Autumn.
Hates- Wet leaves (Mist the surrounding air but not the plant itself) Remove dead leaves and keep the soil clear of debris to avoid disease and mould.
