The Hoya australis can be recognised by its almost round leaves, native to Southern Burma, Central China and Australasia. In this country they need to be grown in a warm bright room in the house or heated conservatory. This plant grows naturally as an epiphyte high up in trees, taking its nutrients and water directly from its host plant. Can grow up to 6 feet long, and flower if cared for properly. It's green leaves have a splash of colour, with a bright yellow and softer green coming from the centre of each leaf. The "Lisa" is a rare variety of the more common green leaves Hoya australis.

RATING- Moderate

LOVES- Dry to semi-dry soil. This plant could grow out of orchid bark so minimal watering is required. Would benefit from misting occasionally. Bright light with some sun is the position.

HATES- Over-watering or waterlogged soil-which will lead to root rot. This plant doesn’t like to be re-potted too frequently as it prefers to be root bound. Do not remove dead flowers.

Pot diameter 12cm
