Phalaenopsis orchid (Moth orchid)

£20.00

Phalaenopsis is a beautiful type of moth orchid which can bloom throughout the year. This variety has stunning orange, yellow and vivid pink flowers. To encourage new growth, cut the stems to the second node after the flower has fallen off. Good for those awkward rooms with central heating as they prefer a elevated temperature of between 16-30 degrees.

RATING- Moderate

LOVES- A bright spot away from direct sunlight in the summer but the brightest spot in the winter. Mist the leaves and flowers lightly in Summer. Feed lightly in the summer months and sparingly in the winter.

HATES- Never allow the roots to dry out completely. Water once a week during the growing season then reduce in Winter. Never allow the roots to be sat in water either as this can lead to root rot- ensure they are drained after watering.
