Philodendron 'Snow Drift' (Variegated Philodendron)
An absolutely striking variegated plant, it’s still not widely available in plant shops, despite being sought-after and its cultivation history is difficult to pinpoint. Origins as of yet unknown, the Philodendron ‘Snowdrift’ could be a variegated form of Philodendron ‘Jungle Fever’, which itself is a hybrid (of P. pinnatifidum and P. gigantum, if you were wondering), although it is thought they could be separate hybrid cultivars. The leaves of the ‘Snowdrift’ begin white, flecked with green, turning more green as a newer leaf emerges. These beautifully variegated leaves have red petioles (stems), which help highlight the vivid white.
RATING- Easy- Moderate
LOVES- Bright indirect light (too much shade will affect variegation), high humidity
HATES- Damp, soggy soil, allow half of the soil to dry before rewatering.
Not safe for pets
Pot diameter 12cm
Please note that the level of variegation differs on each plant, but all we have on sale are highly variegated.
