Rhipsalis cereuscula otherwise known as ‘Rice cactus’ is a wonderful trailing forest cacti. The branching stems with small green leaves that resemble grains of rice hence it’s common name! It originates fromtropical rainforests in Uruguay and Brazil. This plant is known as an epiphtye and a lithophyte that grows directly from tree trunks and also rocks! Looks brilliant hung in a macrame hanger or in a decorative pot on a high shelf.

RATING- Super easy

LOVES- Hang in a light spot, and can even tolerate full sun. Water slightly more if its in direct sunlight especially through summer. This plant doesn’t mind being misted every now and again.

HATES- Over-watering- allow the soil to dry between watering. Water moderately once a week on average. Excess watering will lead to root rot.
