Pilea glaucophylla greyzy 'Silver sparkle' (Pilea libanensis)
This is a beautiful trailing Pilea, nicknamed ‘Silver sparkle’ due to its small round leaves that are grey-green in appearance but catch the light like silver. Will look beautiful cascading over a shelf. This plant is thought to originate from the Caribbean to Central America and is a very versatile plant that can remain as a small desk plant or trail down from a hanging pot.
This plant is known as a nomen nudum in botany, as its name has never been published according to botanical naming procedure, there is in a fact another plant called Pilea glaucaphylla that doesn't resemble this plant at all!
RATING- Moderate
LOVES-Keep in a bright spot with no direct sunlight (This will scorch the leaves) Water roughly once a week with the aim of the keeping the soil moist but NOT waterlogged or soggy. Will prefer to be bottom watered where possible.
HATES-Over or under watering. You can keep this plan misted but it doesn’t require high levels humidity.
