This stunning cactus is native to the humid rainforests of Southern Mexico where it grows as an epiphyte, using its roots to attach itself to other plants. The unusually long flat zig-zag shape of its stems gives this plant its more common name the ‘Fishbone Cactus’. Given the right conditions, these plants can flower, the Selenicereus anthonyanus has large pink blooms.
RATING: Easy to care for. Unlike other cacti, the Fishbone Cactus does not like to dry out completely.
LOVES: Disocactus anguliger enjoys a semi-sunny spot, with no direct sunlight. Regular watering is key in spring and summer.
HATES: Be careful not to over-water your Fishbone Cactus or re-pot it too frequently.
