This tropical wonder the Alocasia has wonderful arrow-shaped light green leaves. This is a striking plant that is nicknamed the ‘Elephant ear’ due to the shape of its leaves, and the second part of its botanical name refers to the ‘Zebra’ patterned stripes that run horizontally over the stems.

RATING- Moderate

LOVES- Bright light in winter and semi-shade in summer. Keep compost moist at all times except in winter.

HATES- Dry air so mist leaves frequently. Re-pot once a year in the spring
