Another Goeppertia, even more stunning foliage! Native to Brazil, the Goeppertia makoyana grows wild in tropical rainforests. Higher altitude means the temperatures aren’t too high for it to survive. The ornate leaves have a stunning pattern that almost resembles the markings of a peacock, hence its common name.
Rating- Moderate
Loves- Semi-shade is best, no direct sunlight. Needs high humidity so frequent misting is essential. Water regularly through spring-autumn and reduce in winter, allowing the soil to dry out a little.
Hates- Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves and fade the leaf colour and pattern!
