Native to tropical rainforests from Madagascar to Australia, the Nepenthes is a carnivorous plant that has become a popular houseplant. The lid of the ‘pitcher’ is coated with a form of nectar that attracts insects, they then slide down the waxy interior and activate glands that digest said insects.

RATING- Moderate-Difficult

LOVES- Being watered with rainwater, warmth, high humidity and a bright spot. Insect food sources are a necessity to feed the plant.

HATES- Tap water, low humidity, cold temperatures and shady areas.
