Caladium 'Carolyn Wharton' (Angel Wings)
An incredibly beautiful variety of Caladium, the ‘Carolyn Whorton’ has green and pink spattered leaves. Originating from tropical regions of Brazil, the caladium is proving to be a popular houseplant. The leaves are pointed, their shape is known as sagittate. The light passes through the leaf as they are very thin, unlike plants like the Ficus, that generally have fleshy leaves. The foliage can grow to an impressive 40cm in length. This plant goes dormant in winter, so be sure to cut down the stems, and store the pot in a cool, dry space, away from light, with a temperature of around 15-18 degrees Celsius.
