  • This little crassula is an unusual succulent from South Africa and Mozambique. Named ‘Buddha’s temple due to its striking resemblance to a Chinese temple. It has fleshy grey-green leaves tightly stacked on top of each other with curling tips.

It is a hybrid that was created in 1959 by Myron Kimnach by crossing Crassula pyramidal and Crassula perfoliata var. minor. Can reach up to 15cm tall. If cared for correctly it will bear small pink flowers in summer.

  • Care Difficulty: This plant has very easy care needs.

Light requirements: Crassula 'Buddhas Temple’ likes a bright spot with some direct sunlight being beneficial. A sunny windowsill is the ideal place.

Watering: Like many succulents allow the soil to dry out between waterings, reducing further in winter. Do not let this plant sit in water as this will increase the chances of root rot.

Humidity: Does not need any additional humidity so will work well in average household conditions.

Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets

Feeding: Enjoys a feed around mid-spring during its growing season.

Repotting: Repot when it has outgrown its current container. Use a Cactus and succulent mix and pot up one size larger in a container with good drainage.
