Peperomia, genus of the pepper family (Piperaceae), comprising more than 1,000 species of tropical and subtropical fleshy herbs, annuals, and perennials. A few species are popular houseplants because of their attractive foliage. This variety ‘Happy bean’ is native to South American rainforests, the Peperomia Green Bean, previously known as the Peperomia ferreyrae, is a perennial succulent with long, bean-like lime green leaves. This epiphytic plant is commonly referred to as happy bean or pincushion peperomia.

RATING- Easy

LOVES- Semi-shady to bright but out of direct sunlight. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out in-between.

HATES- Direct sunlight will scorch the leaves. Dry air- ensure you mist your plant frequently.
