RATING: Easy to care for. Dumb Cane plants are perfect for any house plant collection.

LOVES: Dieffenbachia prefer semi-shade, this plant hates direct sunlight as it will scorch the leaves. Droopy leaves will indicate when to water this plant!

HATES: Over-watering your Dieffenbachia Camilla or Dieffenbachia Mars will cause the soft stem and roots to rot. Allow the soil to dry out a little in-between watering.

SIZE (approx): Pot diameter 9cm.

More information and care recommendations are below.

    Overview

Dieffenbachia is also known as the ‘Dumb Cane Plant’. They are characterised by long oval patterned leaves which can vary in colours of green, yellow and cream. They are native to the Tropics from Mexico and the West Indies south to Argentina. In addition, Dumb canes are great air purifiers. Dieffenbachias make a fantastic ornamental plant for your table or bookshelf.

    Quick Care Guide

Care Difficulty: easy to care for plants with distinctive foliage.

Light requirements: Dieffenbachia likes indirect sunlight and direct sun will burn the leaves. Can survive in lower light conditions but this will reduce the patterned variegation.

Watering: Water thoroughly and allow topsoil to dry out between waterings. These plant leaves will droop when it's time to water!

Humidity: Can do well in household conditions but will enjoy a misting from time to time.

Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets

Feeding: Enjoys a feed around once a month in spring and summer and none at all during winter.

Repotting: Check to see if the roots are coming out the bottom of the pot, and only go up 1-2 inches in pot size.
