HOW IT ALL STARTED

Between Two Thorns first took root in early 2017 as a humble market stall in the heart of Brighton, selling freshly cut flowers. With founder Alys' background in professional floristry, creating beautiful bouquets felt like the obvious place to begin. But sometimes the best ideas grow from unexpected places.

As customer interest shifted, so did the business. Flowers gradually gave way to houseplants, and what started as curiosity soon became a passion. Countless hours of experimenting, propagating, studying, attending courses, and researching transformed a small flower stall into Brighton's tiniest plant shop.

Fast forward through two shop moves, and Between Two Thorns has blossomed into the vibrant plant paradise it is today. Our spacious two-floor home at 91 Trafalgar Street is packed with easy-care favourites, rare and unusual plants, expert advice, hands-on workshops, and everything you need to help your indoor jungle thrive. Nestled just moments from the bustling Brighton Laines, we're proud to have grown into a destination for plant lovers of all experience levels.
