Workshop Description

Hop into spring and get your hands dirty at our Kids Easter Terrarium Workshop! 🐰🌱

We’re giving our popular terrarium workshop a fun, kid-friendly Easter twist. Children will get to create their very own tiny living world inside a beautiful glass terrarium, complete with plants and decorations.

Using a glass vessel measuring 10cm wide × 21cm tall, we'll guide little plant lovers through each step of building their own self-sustaining mini ecosystem to take home.

This fun and creative one-hour workshop includes:

🐰 Plants, materials & decorations
👐 Step-by-step help from our plant-loving team
🌿 A simple terrarium care guide to take home

No green fingers needed! We'll show you everything you need to know, and you'll leave with your very own miniature jungle — a little bit of Easter magic that keeps growing. 🐣🌱

Perfect for budding gardeners, plant lovers and curious little creators!
What to expect

Our terrarium workshops are held in our dedicated basement workshop space at Between Two Thorns, located at 91 Trafalgar Street, Brighton.

Please note that access to the workshop is via stairs only, as the workshop is situated downstairs.

We kindly ask that you arrive 5–10 minutes before the start time to allow everyone to get settled so we can begin promptly.

The workshop is split into three stages:

🌿 Part 1 – Building the Base
Learn how to create the foundation of your terrarium, including drainage and substrate layers that help maintain a healthy ecosystem.

🌱 Part 2 – Planting Up
Choose from a selection of suitable plants and learn how to arrange and plant them within your terrarium.

✨ Part 3 – Decorating
Add the finishing touches with mosses, stones, wood, and decorative elements to make your terrarium uniquely yours.

You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before the event. Please email enquiries@betweentwothorns.com to do so

If you have to cancel within 7 days for ANY reason, then we will try and re-sell your tickets. If they do not sell, then we will be unable to book you onto another workshop or issue a refund. We know this sounds harsh, but unfortunately we are a small business, we will have bought fresh materials for the workshop and they will simply go to waste if you are unable to attend. However we do have a brilliant solution - which is that we would be happy to make you up a terrarium that you would have made for you to collect at your leisure! OR we can provide you with all the materials and lend you the tools for you to create your own terrarium at home, so you will not miss out.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop at any time. In this case you will be issued a full refund or offered another workshop time.
