Wreaths aren’t just for Christmas! In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll create your own living wreath. You’ll learn how to bind and build a mossed wreath base, explore why succulents are perfect for these arrangements, and choose from a wide variety of plants—from elegant Echeveria to favourites like Crassula Finish your design with natural decorations and take home a beautiful, living creation that can be displayed hanging or laid flat, continuing to grow and evolve over time.

Workshop Description

That's right — wreaths aren't just for Christmas!

Join us for this creative 2-hour workshop and create either a beautiful living succulent wreath to hang in your home or a stunning centrepiece designed to surround a candle display.

During the workshop, you'll learn how to construct and bind your own mossed wreath base before discovering why succulents are the perfect plants for long-lasting living arrangements. You'll then choose from a wide variety of succulents, from elegant Echeverias to trailing varieties such as Crassula and Rhipsalis, to create a design that's completely unique to you.

Once your wreath is planted, you'll add natural decorative elements to complete your creation and receive plenty of care tips to help it thrive at home.

Your finished wreath can be displayed hanging on a wall or laid flat on a decorative plate or dish as a beautiful living centrepiece. Over time, the plants will continue to grow and fill out, making your creation even more impressive.

What to expect

Our Living Succulent Wreath Workshop is held in our dedicated basement workshop space at Between Two Thorns, 91 Trafalgar Street, Brighton.

Please note that access to the workshop is via stairs only, as the workshop is located downstairs.

We kindly ask that you arrive 5–10 minutes before the start time so we can begin promptly and make the most of our time together.

The workshop is split into three parts:

🌿 Part 1 – Creating Your Moss Wreath Base
Learn how to bind and construct a moss-filled wreath base, ready for planting.

🌵 Part 2 – Planting Your Succulents
Choose from a wide variety of beautiful succulents and learn how to securely plant them into your wreath for the best long-term growth.

✨ Part 3 – Decorating
Add the finishing touches with natural decorative materials to create a unique living wreath that's completely your own.

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a beautiful living succulent wreath or centrepiece, along with the knowledge and care tips needed to help it thrive and grow over time.

You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before the event. Please email enquiries@betweentwothorns.com to do so

If you have to cancel within 7 days for ANY reason, then we will try and re-sell your tickets. If they do not sell, then we will be unable to book you onto another workshop or issue a refund. We know this sounds harsh, but unfortunately we are a small business, we will have bought fresh materials for the workshop and they will simply go to waste if you are unable to attend. However we do have a brilliant solution - which is that we would be happy to make you up a terrarium that you would have made for you to collect at your leisure! OR we can provide you with all the materials and lend you the tools for you to create your own terrarium at home, so you will not miss out.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop at any time. In this case you will be issued a full refund or offered another workshop time.
