Workshop Description

This Valentine’s, skip the usual dinner and drinks and do something truly special together — create your own living world!

Join us for a Couples XL Closed Terrarium Workshop, where you and your partner will build a stunning self-sustaining terrarium inside an extra-large glass vessel. It’s the perfect way to spend quality time, get creative, and take home something beautiful that will grow with your love.

🌿 What’s included:

One XL glass terrarium vessel to build together
All plants, moss, soil, and decorative materials
Step-by-step guidance from our terrarium experts
One ticket admits two people

Imagine having a plant that needs very little care...that exists in its very own ecosystem! Well you don't have to imagine - you can build one for yourselves.... This workshop in my plant shop will brighten up your day no end. It includes all materials. This workshop is 2 hours long

What to expect

Our terrarium workshops are held in our dedicated basement workshop space at Between Two Thorns, located at 91 Trafalgar Street, Brighton.

Please note that access to the workshop is via stairs only, as the workshop is situated downstairs.

We kindly ask that you arrive 5–10 minutes before the start time to allow everyone to get settled so we can begin promptly.

The workshop is split into three stages:

🌿 Part 1 – Building the Base
Learn how to create the foundation of your terrarium, including drainage and substrate layers that help maintain a healthy ecosystem.

🌱 Part 2 – Planting Up
Choose from a selection of suitable plants and learn how to arrange and plant them within your terrarium.

✨ Part 3 – Decorating
Add the finishing touches with mosses, stones, wood, and decorative elements to make your terrarium uniquely yours.

Standard workshop tickets include one terrarium vessel. Larger vessels may be available to upgrade to on the day (subject to availability and an additional charge).

You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before the event. Please email enquiries@betweentwothorns.com to do so

If you have to cancel within 7 days for ANY reason, then we will try and re-sell your tickets. If they do not sell, then we will be unable to book you onto another workshop or issue a refund. We know this sounds harsh, but unfortunately we are a small business, we will have bought fresh materials for the workshop and they will simply go to waste if you are unable to attend. However we do have a brilliant solution - which is that we would be happy to make you up a terrarium that you would have made for you to collect at your leisure! OR we can provide you with all the materials and lend you the tools for you to create your own terrarium at home, so you will not miss out.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop at any time. In this case you will be issued a full refund or offered another workshop time.
