This old favourite, the succulent plant, Aloe vera is very simple to care for. With its gorgeous matte patterned green-blue fleshy leaves and structural elegance it's a winner all round. This plants origin is actually unknown, perhaps being North Africa and/or the Arabian peninsula. Humans have cultivated this plant for generations and it is now widely naturalised in many countries (growing as if it was wild there).

RATING- Easy

LOVES- Fresh air, especially in summer. A windowsill is the perfect spot

HATES- Over-watering (Especially in winter). Let the soil dry out a little between watering. Do not mist leaves

Humans have cultivated this plant for generations and it is now widely naturalised in many countries (growing as if it was wild there).

    Quick Care Guide

    Care Difficulty: Super easy to care for, brilliant plant for beginners as they don’t require much care.

    Light requirements: Prefer a windowsill with bright bu indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn. Lack of light will cause legginess.

    Watering: Water thoroughly but allow this plant to dry out completely between waterings.

    Humidity: Prefers dry air and does not need any extra humidity.

    Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets

    Feeding: Use to poor desert soil aloes do not need much feeding. If you would like you can feed it once in its growing season (spring/summer).

    Repotting: Repot around once a year -check to see if the roots are coming out the bottom of the pot or if the pups are overcrowding!

    FREE UK DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £50.

    Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

    UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

    • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
    • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

    These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

    Refunds & returns

    Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

    Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

    Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
