The Clivia miniata or 'Bush lily' as its commonly known is native to South Africa. It has long dark green leaves. From Spring-Late summer it produces a bloom of long lasting orange trumpet-shaped flowers that have bright yellow anthers. An easy care flowering houseplant.

HATES- Overwatering, keep the soil moist but not soggy as this can lead to root rot!

Overview

The Clivia miniata or 'Bush lily' as its commonly known is native to South Africa. It has long dark green leaves. From Spring-Late summer it produces a bloom of long lasting orange trumpet-shaped flowers that have bright yellow anthers. An easy care flowering houseplant.
Quick Care Guide

Care Difficulty: Easy to care for plant.

Light requirements: Prefers medium to bright indirect light. Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn.

Watering: Water thoroughly but allow this plants soil to dry out half way between waterings.

Humidity: Can do well in normal household conditions but will enjoy some extra humidity. Avoid placing near heat source as this will encourage brown tips.

Toxicity: Non toxic to humans and pets.

Feeding: Enjoys being fed during Spring- Summer growth period every 2 weeks. Always follow the instructions on your feed of choice.

Repotting: A slow growing plant it can be repot once every 2-3 years -check to see if the roots are coming out the bottom of the pot!

FREE UK DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £50.

Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

  • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
  • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

Refunds & returns

Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
