Background & Origin
Cryptanthus bivittatus ‘Pink Star’ is a striking member of the bromeliad family, native to the tropical rainforests of South America, with the majority of plants found in Brazil. Unlike many bromeliads that grow epiphytically high in the forest canopy, this variety grows terrestrially along the forest floor. Its low-growing, spreading habit and vivid pink-striped foliage make it a natural ground cover in its native habitat and a colourful addition to terrariums and indoor plant collections.
