Pilosocereus glaucochrous, sometimes previously listed under Pilocereus, is a striking columnar cactus native to Brazil. It is known for its glaucous blue-green stems coated in a pale powdery bloom that enhances its cool-toned colouring. The upright ribbed columns are lined with clusters of golden to pale spines, giving the plant a dramatic architectural form. In its natural habitat, it thrives in hot, dry conditions with strong sunlight and excellent drainage.
