Background & Origin
Senecio macroglossus, commonly known as Natal Ivy, is a fast-growing trailing plant native to South Africa. Despite its common name and ivy-like appearance, it is actually a succulent member of the daisy family. It produces glossy, triangular green leaves along climbing or cascading stems and can develop cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers when mature. In its natural habitat, it scrambles through vegetation in warm, sunny conditions, making it well suited to hanging baskets, shelves, and trellises.
