Background & Origin
The Guzmania ‘Candy Rosa’ is a striking bromeliad known for its vibrant pink bracts and lush green rosette leaves. Guzmanias are native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, particularly countries like Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela, where they thrive as epiphytes in humid, shaded environments. ‘Candy Rosa’ is a cultivated hybrid, selected for its bright, candy-pink flower bracts that can last for several weeks, making it a popular choice for indoor display. Its tropical origins mean it enjoys warm, humid conditions with indirect light, reflecting its natural rainforest habitat.
