Size

Perlite is a volcanic glass, it is heated, which reduces its water content and causes it to expand. These small white granules provide your plants roots with the oxygen they need to grow and prevent rot. Perlite is a favourite for most houseplant owners due to its availability and effectiveness, and is especially handy in plants that like to dry out between watering.

    Overview

    Pumice is a volcanic material which has expanded in extremely high heat, then ground down into beautiful chunky rocks.

    Pumice is a much denser aerator than perlite, so as well as packing your soil with oxygen, it won't float to the top of the pot with each watering! This keeps the air chambers consistently spaced throughout the mix even after many waterings. Its porous nature also means minerals and nutrients can be stored in the pumice, to surprise your plant with a nutritious oasis once their roots find their way to the rock.

    Delivery

    FREE UK DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £50.

    Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

    UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

    • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
    • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

    These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

    Refunds & returns

    Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

    Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

    Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
