Quick Care Guide

Care difficulty: Moderate - Strelitzia can be a little tricky to care for.

Light requirements: Strelitzia needs bright light, ideally with several hours of direct light per day. They will thrive in conservatories, or by a south-facing window.

Watering: Keep the soil moist but not soggy, allowing the top inch or two of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant is not actively growing.

Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans.

Feeding: Liquid feed once a month during the growing season (spring-summer) but refrain from feeding in winter.

Repotting: Can be repotted every 1-2 years or when it has outgrown its current pot.
