Vatricania guentheri is a golden spiked columnar cactus from a small area near Rio Grande valley in Eastern Bolivia. This columnar cacti can grow up too 2m high and have a diameter of 10cm, and can branch from its base. Yellow spines grow from areoles from 27 ribs. They can produce funnel white/yellow flowers. Before flowering  it produces fine red bristles/hairs (cephalium).

HATES- Water-logged soil.

Overview

Quick Care Guide

Care Difficulty: Super easy to care for, brilliant plant for beginners as they don't require much care.

Light requirements: Warm bright sunny spot, with some direct sunlight being ideal. A south facing windowsill is perfect.

Watering: Water thoroughly but allow this plant to dry out completely between waterings. Drought tolerant, its best to underwater then to overwater. Reduce watering in winter.

Humidity: Does not need any extra humidity.

Toxicity: Non toxic to humans and pets, but keep away from children and pets due to spines.

Feeding: Enjoys being fed during Spring- Summer growth period. Always follow the instructions on your feed of choice. A cactus feed is best.

Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

  • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
  • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

Refunds & returns

Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
